Student Consultant Information Page

NOTE: ITS-Client Services Student Lab Consultants, please be reminded that you are being trusted to do the right things with the "labacc" printing account. Also, please be reminded that the Lab Managers will do random audits of the "labacc" printing account. Please be honest and trustworthy when using the "labacc" printing account in order to print work-related information. If an employee is caught using the "labacc" printing account fraudenttly, that employee will be released as an ITS student employee immediately!

To access the "labacc" account password & the cabinet lock combination, please log into Blackboard. Once you're logged into Blackboard you should choose the "CSV Lab Student Consultants" organization link and choose the "Passwords for Work" button in the left-hand window. If you have rights to access the organization you should have rights to view the password list.

Once you have the "labacc password" follow the steps below to print work-related documents:

In order to release work-related print jobs in a PC computer lab, you will need to do the following:
(Mac labs should just choose print and the pop-up box will appear)

  • With your document open, Choose File > Print > Local Printer Pop-up
  • Next, you will be prompted for a username, enter labacc
  • Proceed to the print release station to print document.
    (If there is no allocation on the "labacc" account please contact the SSLM on duty so he/she can notify the Lab Manager.)
  • Login into print release station with username, labacc and password for this account
  • Next, swipe the ID card that's available in the locked storage cabinet in the lab (or in the SuperLab use the one that is at the SSLM station)
  • Release the print job like you normally would
